This is a very simple browser extension for Brave/Chrome that I made (for myself) a few days ago (took a few iterations to get working ok/so far). Inspired by recent (but common for years now) instances of censorship, demonetization, deplatforming and financial terrorism being inflicted on people *IN AMERICA* for simply speaking the truth or asking valid questions. Few example links at bottom of this post.
Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction. We didn’t pass it to our children in the bloodstream. It must be fought for, protected, and handed on for them to do the same.
Like many other people I found “that scene” from the recent Joker (2019) movie so intense and awesome so I wanted to recreate it somehow. I ended up trying to lay it out like a comic book and tried to do it in a way that felt like the classic “Arkham Asylum” Batman graphic novel. I’m not sure how successful I was in the latter (I have zero experience creating comic books) but I am happy w/the final version in any case. I was torn on putting in any modern-day/non-movie elements but in the end I couldn’t resist fill the top center window frame with some of the evil icons of our “society” as well as an America First ad on the top right television set. Oh yeah and (belated) semi-spoiler warning if you haven’t seen the movie yet (but if you haven’t seen the movie yet – +1 week after opening – I don’t feel bad).

By the way for the record I used an old black and white photo of him and a recent color shot of Big Ben along with a tracing technique (which I consider partial cheating artistically) – so this was not all drawn out of thin air! Time lapse video below shows in detail.
I really do have another project I’m supposed to be working on in my free time! But the other day yet another NJFscene popped into my head and I had to attempt it. It’s not 100% what I envisioned but pretty close.

Clearly I’ve been on a kick w/this kind of thing lately … no doubt coming from some combination of inspiration, OCD and whatever red/white/black pills I’ve recently consumed. Anyhow, this past week Nick (who’s a Catholic) had a fair number of pagans or atheists send messages to the show and his responses, as usual, were as hilarious as they were spot on. At some point he joked about how he was “fending of the pagan hordes” and that’s the comment that I couldn’t get out of my head and led to this illustration.

Super POTUS Trump is a “mini” indie video game I made as a tribute to President Trump. It’s currently available now for Windows on Steam and soon should be available for iPad as well (pending Apple review).
While I describe the game as “mini” the effort it took to produce it was quite the opposite. At face value the game may not seem like a very big project since a person with average gaming/computer skills could play through the entire thing within 45 minutes (or less). But the making of this game was, by FAR, the biggest, most exhausting personal/hobby project I’ve ever undertaken. Not only was it my first time building a game with the (awesome) unity3d.org game engine – it also involved a ton of iPad artwork production, C# coding, audio hunting/editing, learning an entirely new game store workflow (SteamWorks, on top of Apple) and just about every social media/web skill I could muster as well. For the past ~6 months this project was pretty much a black hole that sucked up every free minute I could find.
While it was a lot of work it was, for the most part, a ton of fun. I do have to admit that towards the end I started wondering if I would ever finish it, questioning why in the world I was making it and wondered the odds that anyone else would even care or enjoy, etc. Fortunately I didn’t give up, called it “done” about a week ago and since then it’s been release for Windows and sent to Apple for review.
I have to say it was hard to call it “done” as there were so many ideas I had that I just had to leave out otherwise I’d never finish it! I told myself *IF* I lived through it and if more than 12 people enjoy this version I *MIGHT* consider making an Episode 2 (since a lot of the coding/etc would already be done). But I can’t even think about that right now!! …

There have been a few naysayers but thanks to how Steam works you can’t leave a negative review unless you’ve installed the game so hopefully that means not very many haters will bother spamming the reviews – which as of today are holding mostly in the Positive category.
In case it’s not obvious I did not make this game to get warm fuzzies reading positive reviews or to rake in the few dollars it hopefully makes to at least make small dent in the the few hundred I sank into making it. I made this game as my tribute to President Trump and to show the world (or maybe just 23 people) that Trump’s support is strong and made up of rationale, talented people whose bond with the man can not be shaken. With the non-stop onslaught of self-righteousness, condescension and vicious calls for violence coming from the news media, Hollywood, college cry-babies and all the other far-lefties in between I felt I simply had no choice but to make this game.
I am well aware this is just a small silly game and I don’t imagine it will get that much attention – outside a few fellow indie gamer fans and friends/family I’m sure the install base will be pretty small. But knowing that even just a few people will see it – whether they’re pro-Trump or not – it will have been worth it.

I realize some friends/family may not be able to play the game so at some point I may create a video showing a little bit of each level of the game so people can see it that way. Here’s yet another Trump artwork post. Really it’s just something that accumulated over time from my own desire to get some cool Trump backgrounds on my iPhone. Half of these are using altered or stylized Trump photos we’ve all seen floating around the web and the rest are existing artwork of mine. The photo of him sitting down and pointing I could only find in black and white so the color versions are my attempt at colorization (I think the colors look right?). Also these wallpapers are all best used on the iPhone “lockscreen” – not really for the “homescreen” (behind the icons). Maybe if I get time/ideas I’ll add some homescreen ones in the future.

I’ve always been a (PC gaming) “mod” nerd. One of my favorite things about Minecraft has always been the vast amount of super fun and creative mods that the community has produced of the years. Anyhow for various reasons I recently I got a small itch to try my hand at making a Minecraft mod myself. It was part developer curiousity and part gamer need. Basically for whatever reason Minecraft has never let you actually EAT the eggs you get from chickens in the game – yet in survival mode your player can die from starvation by day 2 or 3 if you don’t find any food. So my mod concept was simply to make eggs edible. Just to be clear – this isn’t a new idea … others have made similar mods or mods that incorporated something around the same lines. However most if not all of those mods are outdated and no longer work.
Anyhow … after tinkering around with things and watching a few tutorial videos by the Minecraft mod genius Mr Crayfish I was able to create my first ever Minecraft mod which I decided to call … “Eat the Eggs!”. By the way Mr Crayfish’s mods and other projects are simply awesome – that guy is an all around genius.
Anyhow … after I got to a good stopping point I posted the mod for others to check out and as of this post ~650 people have downloaded it so far! That doesn’t speak to my mod’s awesomeness by the way it simply speaks to the crazy number of people who play Minecraft and who are also “mod” nerds like me. Either way – very cool! Some kind soul even made a 5 minute showcase video of it! Check it out.
I by no means claim to be any kind of Minecraft mod developer expert now – but I definitely had fun making it and may even try my hand at a 2nd mod soon … we will see.
I’ve been watching a lot of war documentaries this year from WWI to WWII to Korea and Vietnam – so I guess it’s no surprise that some artwork like this would come out. All these documentaries inspire me to create artwork that pays homage to the soldiers and the human achievements and tragedies from all the different wars … but so far I haven’t come up with much besides this yet.
For what it’s worth this piece isn’t really what I intended it to be as it was originally going to be a standalone WWI scene more along the lines of that intense WWI scene in Legends of the Fall – but it morphed into something else. Anyhow even though it falls quite short of conveying what I’d like it to and the fact that it skews things a bit too much towards the USA – I figured I’d finish it off and post it anyhow.
Beyond whatever issues myself or others may have about any given war, at the very least learning about each of them makes me appreciate (and feel plenty guilty about) just how fortunate I am to be able to raise a family in the safety (bubble) of an American suburb. Here’s to all the people, from the past to the present, who have put their lives on the line to defend the freedoms I enjoy today.
Sorry I haven’t posted in a few weeks. Here’s the reason I’ve been away … introducing the Mario Alphabet!
A few weeks ago the thought popped into my head “I wonder if you could find a Mario character for every letter in the alphabet? … because if so, would there be a cooler/more fun way to learn the alphabet?!“. Sure enough after checking online, I found there were more than enough Mario characters to do it (you could actually do over 5 alphabets and never repeat a character!). After confirming it was possible I of course could have simple gone to Google images or other places to round up existing artwork and just copied/pasted them all into Photoshop … but then the artwork styles would have been inconsistent and worse the image quality would have been very poor for some of the less famous characters who only have teeny tiny thumbnails on the internet. So I decided to draw them all by hand on my iPad (~2 letters a day, 2 characters per letter). It took way longer than I had planned but it was a blast to do!
Please Note: In case it’s not obvious – I did not freehand draw any of these guys! I only traced and (lovingly) painted each one using whatever images I could find from the net. So I take very little credit for this project. The true brilliance here of course comes from Nintendo. Over the past few decades they have created a staggeringly long list of wonderful characters (each one with a great personality/story). So here’s to Nintendo, Shigeru Miyamoto and the cast of talented artists/character designers who have built such an entertaining/creative body of work over the years that has and will continue to entertain kids and adults for years to come.
I may or may not do something w/the Zelda franchise once I recover from this – but this year’s Christmas card has to be my next project!
